Switchgrass ‘Cave In Rock’ is a rhizomatous, warm-season bunchgrass that is native throughout most of the U.S. It is a major component of the Tallgrass Prairie ecosystem. Cave-In-Rock originates from Cave-In-Rock, Illinois and is late maturing and suitable for both lowland and upland sites. Use for pasture mixes, range seeding, erosion control and biofuel production. It also provides good nesting habitat, cover and food for many different types of wildlife.
