Morning Glory ‘Heavenly Blue’
(Ipomoea tricolor)
Morning Glory ‘Heavenly Blue’ are fast-growing, twining vines that are tender perennials with large, funnel shaped flowers and heart-shaped leaves. Flowers open in the morning and last only one day but plants bloom midsummer to early fall. They can be planted on trellises, arbors, lattice or chain-link fences or used as a ground cover. Plants do best in full sun with moderate moisture and well-drained soils. This variety has sky-blue flowers with a white throat that attract bees, butterflies and hummingbirds. Recipient of the Royal Horticultural Society’s Award of Garden Merit for reliable performance in the garden.
