Goldenrod, Rigid
(Solidago rigida)

Code: SRIG Category: Flower Seeds Tags: Native Bees, Pollinator, Reclamation, U.S. Native

Rigid Goldenrod is also known as Stiff Goldenrod. This native perennial can be found in prairies, meadows and open woodlands throughout the Midwestern and east-central U.S. as well as south-central Canada. It does not spread by rhizomes like many goldenrod species, making it widely adaptable for landscape and home garden use. Also recommended for conservation and pollinator plantings. Attracts honey bees, wild bees, flies, beetles and wasps. Provides late season bloom and pairs well with late-blooming, purple asters.
