Calendula ‘Fiesta Gitana’

Calendulas have been used for many centuries for culinary and medicinal purposes. Calendula ‘Fiesta Gitana’ is a dwarf variety that grows 8 to 12 inches tall and comes in shades of orange, yellow and gold. Suitable for containers, beds and borders, and the pollinator garden. Provide light shade in hot climates during the summer. Prefers rich, moderately moist and well-drained soils. Remove spent flowers to prolong blooming. Flower petals are edible and have a slightly bitter and peppery flavor. Recipient of the Royal Horticultural Society’s Award of Garden Merit for reliable performance in the garden.
