In the mid-80’s Applewood began selling bulk wildflower seed to the highway and re-vegetation markets including city, state and federal governments, parks, golf courses, landscapers and other seed companies.

Applewood Seed Company Celebrates 50 years of Excellence!
Fifty years ago, in 1965, Applewood Seed Co. was started by Gene Milstein in his parents’ basement in suburban Denver, Colorado. He offered traditional flower and vegetable seed packets. In 1967, the company began selling hand-collected wildflower seed to the gift and garden markets in hand-drawn packets.

Applewood on the Forefront in Promoting Pollinator Health
