Red Yarrow has finely divided, fern-like leaves and a pungent scent. Flowers are dark pink to deep carmine and occur in flat-topped flower clusters. Attracts beneficial insects. This species has rhizomes and can spread aggressively in home gardens or where soils are moist. To contain rhizomes, grow plants in 5 or 10 gallon plastic pots that have been partially buried in the ground.
