This perennial is native to Kansas, Missouri, Arkansas and Texas and can be found in dry glades and prairies. Unlike other Echinacea species, this one has yellow flowers – the “paradox” in its scientific name. It is low maintenance once established and makes a good cut flower or attractive addition to wildflower mixtures.
